Class Types

There are several class types available in Cyber Train.

Instructor-Led Classes:
These type of classes are ones that have an instructor, start date, end date, start time, end time, etc...  These classes are also ones the organization created or developed to achieve certain job requirement or organizational training needs.

On-Demand Training (ODT) Classes:
These type of classes are more self-paced and do not require an instructor necessarily.  When you are ready to take the class, click the Launch hyperlink. Depending the class format could be a PowerPoint, a webinar, a video, etc.. These classes do not have a start or end date or start or end times, rather the Date Needed for the training requirement is what you should consider when planning on when to take the class.  Additionally, even though the company creates the class via the system, the material displayed in the 'Launch' can either developed through your organization or a vendor.

These classes are ODT classes but written in SCORM or AICC language that makes them playable on any SCORM allowed platform.
Review the SCORM feature documentation and contact support if interested in obtaining the SCORM capabilities.

These classes are not listed in the Class List section.  This is because they are not created or developed by the organization.  Thus, the training options are outside of the organization.

On-the-Job Training (OJT) Classes:
These types of classes are not really classes at all, however, they are worth noting.  OJT classes are on typically conducted by someone senior in the position and are tracked in your Requirements section if outstanding or the History section if completed.  For example, if you have 10 hours of training with a subject matter expert before handling a certain task in the organization, you will see that requirement in the Requirement section.   As the senior trainer does a training session, those hours and content are recorded against the 10 hours needed. Once the 10 hours are hit, you achieve credit for the outstanding training requirement and it is moved to the History section.
