The Programs section is where Students (Employees) can go to see what programs they are enrolled in and the progress they have made in completing the program.  Programs are a great way to group several requirements together for a common purpose. 

Many times you will see a program that is descriptive of the job the you have. For example, if you, as the employee are a Manufacturing Technician, there might be a Manufacturing Technician program that contains all the job-related training requirements needed for you to do your job.  In addition, there might be new employee orientation programs, managerial programs, etc...  So while the Requirements section does contain all the courses and it is from here where you register and launch classes, programs is more high-level, visual groups of the requirements for you to track your progress.

The Instruction bar at the top of the page is collapsible.  This message is used to help understand what actions can happen from this section of the system or any other messages that need to be displayed.  If you understand the instructions/messages and do not wish to see them anymore, you can collapse this section, freeing up some space on the page. 

The columns of information displayed on the Program section is to help you know a little more about your programs and the necessary requirements to complete them.  The requirements are broken up between completed requirements (Classes Taken) and outstanding requirements (Requirements) along with percentage of completion displayed to help you gauge where you are. 

Column Name  What the Information Is Actions Available 
Name The name of the program is displayed here. The column is sortable and by clicking on the Name link you can sort by ascending/descending order.
Description If there is an overall description of the program, along with the break out of requirements completed verse outstanding. This column contains an icon.  When you hover over the item, a pop-up box appears with the following information - Program Name, Description, Classes Taken (completed requirements) and Requirements (outstanding requirements.)
Date Added This date is the date the program was added to the student's file. This column is sortable and by clicking on the Date Added link you can sort by ascending/descending order.
Date Completed This date is the date the program was completed by the student.  This date is automatically added upon completion of the last requirement and the Date Completed for that last requirement is the Date Completed for the program. The column is sortable and by clicking on the Date Completed link you can sort by ascending/descending order.
Progress This is a percentage field that let's the student know how much of the program has been completed so far. This column is sortable and by clicking on the Progress link you can sort by ascending/descending order.





How do I see the details of the program?

To see more detailed information about the program, click on the Pencil Icon.  The hyperlink takes you to a 'Read-Only' page.

    When all outstanding requirements (Program Requirements) are satisfied, the program is considered complete and requirements are only displayed in the Program Courses Taken section.  This page is truly a 'Read-Only' page such that you cannot change anything here.  To leave this page, click the red-X at the top right-hand side of the page.  If you see something that is not correct, contact your organization's Training Admin to help resolve the issue.




    What else do I need to know about programs?

    As stated earlier on this page, programs are a great way to group certain requirements together for visual tracking by the you and your manager as well as overall reporting for the training admin.  Once you have completed a program if a credential is tied to the program, you could receive an electronic certification or other recognition for completion.  This depends largely on how your organization ahs setup programs and credentials to work together. 
     
    The other important note about programs is that once a program is completed, it is completed.  If there was renewal requirements that came out of the program, those renewals requirements were added at the time you complete the initial requirement and are tracked in the Requirements section from this point forward.  For example if your job-related program has 10 requirements and 3 of them need to be renewed yearly, those 3 will always be listed in the Requirement section with a new 'Date Needed' as they are completed.  However the program does not update, it has completed.

    Additionally, if the program was used to obtain the initial certification and the certification has a renewal, that is tracked in the Credentials section.  For example, if your job-related program produced a certification that needs to have a refresher class yearly to update it.  Upon taking the class, let your Training Administrator so that they can update your credential.
