Best SCORM version to use?

Visibility Software will get you set up with a SCORM Cloud account and provide you with the information necessary to enable the feature.  NOTE: At this point, Visibility Software supports AICC and SCORM 1.2 training packages.

SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 (3rd/4th Edition) are the commonly used and widely accepted versions.  SCORM 1.2 is easier to report back on as it only has 1 field (Successful/Unsuccessful or Passed/Failed).  So it is a simpler version.  However, it does not allow for the more complex testing and interactive modules that are often desired. SCORM 2004 addresses this by have splitting the 1 field into 2 fields.  Success (Successful/Unsuccessful) and Satisfaction (Passed/Failed).  While this allow for more complex training packages, the return results are trickier as the training package needs to be written cleanly to know what do to with incomplete packages and what that returns to failed packages and all situations.

Visibility Software does not support SCORM 2004 yet.  We have looked at this and are also considering options of Experience API (aka Tin Can) which is the next evolution in SCORM.
