Upgrade Instructions

Please call Support (800-914-9594) or log a case via the Product Support to obtain the login name, password, link and instructions to do the upgrade. If you are already on 6.x the upgrade is a quick application of the latest executable.  If you are on an version prior to 6.x, the support staff will be able to give you details and options about upgrading. 

 

With any release, it is best to read everything first and then do the upgrade. If skipping version (going from 6.2 or 6.6 for example) be sure to check out the release notes from the previous versions as some of the items might effect you. 

 

Suggested Upgrade Process: 

Step 1: Know Your Current Version

- On the Login Page - note the version number in the upper right-hand corner


Step 2: Know the Current Upgrade Version Available

- If it is 2 versions or more from where you are, click on the Release Notes links below to read all the changes that happened in each version. 

- Most likely things have changed and have been added.  


Step 3: Read the Prepare to Upgrade Section

- This is probably more on the technical side.  Glance it over though as it could have some actions you should do in the software as a Training Admin before you do the upgrade.

- If hosted with Visibility Software, again, glance over it but don't worry, we have you covered!


Step 4: Do the upgrade

- If hosted, most likely you are on the most current release as we keep that up for you.  However, if not, submit a Support case for us to do the upgrade for you. 


Step 5: Read the Actions after Upgrade Section

- Depending, this technical, training admin or all users.  Check it out to be sure.


Step 6: Release Notes for Further Action (as Needed)

- Depending on what changed, there could be changes to the security settings in the software or other actions needed. 

- Read the notes below and when available, what the training videos.

Actions after Upgrade Section


 

(1) EVERYONE CLEAR CACHE! (All Upgrades)

Who: Every User & Student

-  Click Here to see how to clear cache for different browsers.

 

(2) Report Writer Updates: 

Who: Training Administrator

- Log into Cyber Train

- Change the .Main.aspx part of the URL to be 'reporting/Settings.aspx'

- Click 'Update Schema' link at the top of the page. 

- Log out of Cyber Train and log back in to benefit from updates to the Report Writer Views.

 

View_StudentPrograms - updated to include: Date Completed (v6.3)

View_Student updated to include: Pay Review Date, Performance Review Date, Termination Date (v6.3)

View_ClassCosts updated to include: Class Misc Fields (v6.3)

View_ClassRoster updated to include: Class Misc Fields & Class Seq (v6.3)

View_StudentTestAnswers - Added the ChangeDate field to the View (v6.4)
