VERSION 6.6 - Release Notes (January 2020)


1. "Student Find" page: If you press the enter key the page now understands this is to execute the page and not to add a new row to the skills filter.

 

2.  Course "Fee": The Fee field will now allow you to enter an amount greater than 999.00.

 

3. Organizational Requirements:  Adding requirements to an organizational level and selecting to add the course even if taken before now correctly adds in the course even if it has been taken.  If it has a renewal frequency, the requirement date is added based on the date taken as well as the renewal frequency.

 

4. Program Requirements: 

  • When you add a program now, it will not re-add courses that were previously taken
  • When you add a program to a job code or org code, it will add the program and requirements to the student file. 
  • When you delete a program from a job code or org code, it will delete the requirements unless another code requires the requirements.

 

5.When a student selects to enroll into a class the class start time displays in the list. Additionally, when a user is on the "classes" tab and adds a record, the class start time is now displayed there as well.

 

6. External Classes & Tuition Assistance: The field "name" has been updated to "class name" to be clearer about what content should be added in that field.

7. Enrollment Emails: The option to trigger the enrollment email from the "manual add" process in the class on the roster page has been added back in for increased flexibility.

 

8. Approving Emails:  When Approving/Denying a request via email, the "Changed By" field is populating on the Student History page and in reports when the Changed By field is included in the report.

9. Import Process (Courses Needed): When importing Course Needed the Requirement will be updated as well.   

  • If there is a course which has a renewal frequency, the course is added to the 'taken list' and the requirement is updated with the new due date based on the date the class is attained.
  • If there is a course which does not have a renewal frequency, the course is added to the 'taken list' and removed from the 'requirement' list.
  • CLIENT IMPACT: could be a change to the process that customers should be aware of if they are importing courses taken and then mass deleting requirements.

 

10.  Import Process (Students):

  • Updated to include options for  (1) Social Security Number (2) Termination Date (3) Pay Review Date and (4) Performance Review Date
  • If the import process makes the system over the license, the students are imported in BUT with an inactive status.  The message after the import indicates the license is over the limit.  The user CANNOT change the status of the student from Inactive to Active until the student count falls below the license level or the license is increased.

 

11. Import Process (Courses):  The course description field was corrected in the import so the description now correctly is imported with the file. It is recommended this just be text and not HTML.

 

12. Sage Integration: Update the CTAbraRemote.exe to use the p_jobstartdate as the org start date in Cyber Train for both adding and updating students instead of the current date.

13. SCORM Integration:  Update the renewal frequency logic on the SCORM classes to have the 3-variable regid instead of the 2-variable regid. This was done to allow for syncing of the data between Cyber Train and SCORM Cloud.

 

14. Report Writer

  • Upgrade to the latest version has resolve the automatic scheduling issue.  
  • Images can now be embedded into a Report Writer report in the "Report Header". There is a new folder call "ReportWriterImage" in the "Content". The image should be uploaded to this location. It can be a  .gif, .png, or .jpg. When the users logs into Cyber Train, the program will check for an image file (gif, png, jpg) inside the Content/ReportWriterImage folder: If it finds an image file then that image will show on the report and in the exports.  If it finds more than one image file, then it will pull the image with the most current modified date. If it doesn’t find an image then nothing is pulled. The image is on the screen, in the pdf, in the Word doc and in the xls exports. It is not included if exporting to csv.

13. Alerts

  • New alert will send an email when the active student count is above 90% of the total license.  The email is sent on the 1st of every month.  If the student count is above 95% the email will be sent each Monday.  The email is set productsupport@visibilitysoftware.com which will create a case and send a confirmation to the customer's default account.
