Password Rules

Page Location: Admin > Security > Password Rules

Password Rules (Admin > Security > Password Rules) set the conditions for passwords when a user and student changes his/her password. They do not apply when a System Administrator initially sets up or later modifies a user on the User Security page or student through an import or add student process.

Password rules will only be activated if the user or student changes his/her password either when prompted because the check box "User must change password at next login" in his/her user security was checked to force the change or the student chooses to change the password in "My Preferences" by clicking the "Click here to change your password" link.
