Step 2: Match Applicant Login to ESS Login
For the ESS Employee Self Service Single Sign-on to function, a user’s ESS login must EXACTLY match his/her Self Service Login on the Cyber Recruiter Application page.
This allows for a completely separate setting for the general login to the Self Service module by Applicants via the careers portal.
Manual Option:
The Self Service Login (SS Login) field can be manually updated by editing the Application page in the applicant's Cyber Recruiter record .
Import Option:
A file can be imported with the employee information. If a record already exists in Cyber Recruiter, the new information will update the record in Cyber Recruiter.
Automated Option:
To automate this process, the recommended action is to use the Web API established to pull information from the Sage database.
Step 3: Create ESS Content Web Links
- Login to ESS as a master user
- Go to Custom Content/Create Web Links
- Click on +New
- For both the name and description type in Careers or Employment, whichever you prefer.
- For the URL, type in the URL to your Careers site’s AppSelfService.aspx page, for example
http://www.YourCompany.com/Careers/AppSelfService.aspx
- Set Single Sign-On to Yes and click Save
STEP 4: Create ESS Menu Option
- Go to Create Custom Menu
- Choose where in the menu you’d like users to see the Careers/Employment option and click New
- For Menu Name, type whatever you’d like the link to say when ESS users login
- For Navigate To, choose the Careers/Employment link you made in Step 1
- For target window, you can choose to either have Applicant Self Service appear in the existing ESS frame or pop up in a new window. The choice is yours.
- Click Save
STEP 5: Specify the ESS Employer
- Go to System Settings/Employer Setup
- Choose the company you are setting this link up for, or Enterprise if your company is defaulting to the Enterprise setup
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and look for the Careers/Employment option under the Custom header
- Set that item to View
- Click Save
ESS users should now be able to login and see a link for Careers/Employment that will automatically log them into Applicant Self Service and take them to their home page.
